Due to rain during the asphalt sealing process, parking lot space striping has been delayed. Finley & Co. is slating for the parking space striping for next Thursday, June 27th and or Friday, June 28th. Every effort is being made to expedite this process but it will be dependent on the weather.

This primary is very important as the supervisor for each district, and Chairman Board of Supervisors we elect in the primary will be on the ballot in November and, if elected, will select our representatives on the Planning Commission Division of the Department of Planning and Zoning.
The 2020 FAIRFAX COUNTY COMPREHENSIVE REZONING is
around the corner. Since there is only one primary, everyone who is registered can vote.
There are no party affiliation restrictions. The question is, who would be better, a
representative for the community or the developers?

For two Thursdays in a row, American Disposal Service did not let the management company know until the actual day of the pick up that our trash service was cancelled due to staffing shortages (per their reason). Originally we were notified late on Thursday that this Thursday’s pick up would be delayed til Saturday, 5/4/19, but ADS resent an email stating that they won’t pick it up until Monday.
At this point, please take your own trash inside until Monday. If every resident takes in their own trash it would help minimize further mess.
Management company will look into this matter and we will notify residents as soon as we receive information.

In the next two weeks, Verizon will be laying down underground fibers around the perimeter of Woodwinds. Verizon has been phasing out of copper landlines in the area and therefore this underground cable work is being completed so that Verizon FIOS will be made available in the near future for the residents of Woodwinds.
At this present time, the work is expected to last about two weeks and any landscaping disturbed will be restored by Verizon.
This is the most information we have available to share with all the residents.
You may have some questions, i.e. like when the actual FIOS service will be made available to the residents, however, that information is not available at this time to us nor Verizon.
In the near future, the board and the management company will work to share additional information as it becomes available about this project.

According to American Disposal’s website, Trash service in our area was delayed by one day due to the snow on Monday. Therefore our normal Monday service this week was picked up on Tuesday, and Thursday’s pick up will be today, Friday, 1/18/19.
Given the possibility of another inclement weather this weekend and in the upcoming months, residents can click here for direct information about trash pick up service if you would like the most up to date information.
Regardless of inclement weather, we’d greatly appreciate everyone’s continued participation in adhering to our Woodwind’s trash regulation guidelines.

We have heard from some of the trash companies that trash may not be picked up today. They are going out to try but if they find it not safe or their drivers, trash will be delayed by one day.
Notices have been posted on doors of units that need to shut off their outside faucets. This notice applies ONLY to the units listed below.
The following units must turn off either their front/side/or rear outside faucets for the upcoming season. Please follow the INSTRUCTIONS on your notice.

As of Thursday, 10/25/18 at 7:45PM, there is an emergency water shut off affecting the residents who reside at 2112 GWW through 2122 GWW due to a water leak at 2122 GWW Unit #100.
We do apologize for the inconvenience that this may cause the residents in the affected buildings. However due to the nature of the emergency, it was necessary to minimize further impact of the water leakage by shutting off the main valve.
Kiddco is on their way and will do their best to expedite the work to restore water back to the units as soon as possible.
